'Good' standards continue at health centre after inspection report
A health centre has been praised by CQC inspectors and given a ‘good’ rating.
The Salters Meadow Centre in Rugeley Road, Chase Terrace, was previously given a good rating after an inspection in 2015 and has continued to maintain its standards according to inspectors.
The centre was given a ‘good’ rating in four out of five key areas and the same rating overall, although safety was deemed to require improvement.
Previously, it had been rated good in all areas except for leadership, which was deemed to require improvement.

This time, safety was the issue where work was needed, while leadership was rated as good.
The rating follows on from an unannounced inspection on June 12, carried out to check improvements requested last time around had been made.
A total of 11,559 patients are currently registered with the centre.
Professor Steve Field, chief inspector of general practice with the CQC, said: “The practice had good facilities and was well equipped to treat patients and meet their needs.
"There was a clear leadership structure and staff spoke positively about the support from the GP partners and management team.
“Staff demonstrated that they understood their responsibilities and had received training on safeguarding children and vulnerable adults relevant to their role.”
Despite the continued good work by bosses and staff, the CQC still had concerns relating to safety, primarily regarding fire evacuation drills.
