Comic con is coming to the Mander Centre!
Launching on Star Wars day itself (4th May) and over the whole bank holiday weekend until the 6th May the Centre will be taken over by Geeks Events, comic con. The free event runs from 9-5.30pm Saturday, 10.30-4.30pm Sunday and 10-5 Monday, and is a free event for all the family.
Over 40 traders will be selling their geeky wares, with everything from retro and vintage toys to comics, clothing and everything in between! Pick up a classic item, bring back some childhood memories or add to your already growing collection!
Have a photo you will in Yoda’s hut, brave the hell prison and say hi to the giant inflatable stay puft marshmallow man from Ghostbusters!
The weekend sees guests from TV and film joining in the fun, meet Colin Baker the sixth Dr Who, ‘Let the Challenge begin’ with James Mackenzie from BBC’s Raven! And talk all things Game of Thrones with Ross Mullan, the white walker. For the full guest list visit www.mandercentre.co.uk.
Plus meet cosplayers at all ages, led by the Central Legion and a storm trooper or two! Come along in costume and join in the cosplay competition on Monday or watch as the cosplay parade takes over the lower mall on Saturday and Sunday.
