Car smashes through GARAGE in Brownhills

A car smashed through the side of a garage in Brownhills in the early hours of this morning, with the driver making off from the scene.

The crash happened at Kingfisher Close shortly after 5.30am this morning.

Fortunately there are no reports of any injuries.

A spokesman for West Midlands Fire and Rescue said: "We received a call at 5.39am, and a crew from Aldridge attended.

"It was at Kingfisher Close in Brownhills, and involved a car in collision with a single storey garage. No persons were trapped.

"Our technical rescue unit attended because the garage structure was compromised.

"We left the incident with police at just after 7am."

Police enquiries are currently on-going to trace the driver.
