Man's body found on Wolverhampton street

Wolverhampton | News | Published:

Residents of a quiet residential street in Wolverhampton made a grim early morning discovery when the body of a man was discovered in Finchfield.

The body, believed to be that of a male in his 40s, was discovered on Woodland Road, Finchfield, at around 6.30am on Sunday.

West Midlands Police confirmed that they conducted door-to-door investigations in the area following the discovery, but said the death was not being treated as suspicious.

The matter has since been passed to the coroner to determine cause of death, the police said.

The coroner will then conduct an inquest to reveal how, when and where the man died and also try to ascertain some of the circumstances surrounding his death.
