Two held after Wolverhampton crashes

Two men have been arrested after separate crashes in Wolverhampton.

At 3.50am officers were called to a crash in Snow Hill after following a red Mazda with no lights. The car lost control and crashed with two parked cars.

A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving with no insurance.

Meanwhile, a car crashed into a tree and overturned at Bath Road, Chapel Ash.

The vehicle had been spotted on the wrong side of the road.

Police tweeted shortly before 3am that the driver was drunk, uninjured and in custody. A 22-year-old man has been arrested.
