Delays as car hits M6 central reservation

Motorists faced delays this afternoon after a car hit the central reservation on the M6 near Walsall.

A man was taken to hospital following the crash at 1.35pm on the northbound carriageway between junctions 10 and 10a.

Both the north and southbound carriageways were briefly closed to allow emergency services to attend.

The Midlands Air Ambulance was sent to the scene of the accident but it was not needed.

West Midlands Police said the victim's injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
