Several positive Covid cases at Stafford school

"Several members" of a Stafford school have tested positive for coronavirus.

Pupils in 3GQ and 5DW at Leasowes Primary School have previously been asked to not return to school until November 18.

Meanwhile pupils in Year 6 have been asked to stay at home until November 23.

And more recently another group of pupils have been told to self-isolate until November 26 after contact with someone who has since tested positive for coronavirus.

In a letter to parents the school says: "We have been made aware of several members of our school community who have tested positive for Covid-19.

"We know that you may find this concerning but we are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England."
