Teachers at Pelsall Village School are praising youngsters for how they have dealt with lockdown and the changes to their education.

The school is supporting vulnerable children and children of essential workers through the pandemic by opening from 7.30am until 6pm, including over the holiday period.

As well as academic activities, pupils have been getting creative designing special children of key workers t-shirts which were printed thanks to Kelly Anne Crook at Dub Prints in Pelsall.

Learning resources are also provided each day virtually for children who cannot attend school.

Sallyann Tuckwell-Allen, assistant headteacher, said: "We are very proud of how these key worker children in particular have coped with such an upheaval to their lives and feel that their key worker thank you t-shirts are something to be celebrated."
