The temporary classrooms will be brought in at Perryfields High School Specialist Maths and Computing College, Oldbury, following the removal of a previous school block.

A council report warned that the arrangements which are currently in place to manage the closure of the previous block, called jubilee block, are 'not sustainable'.

Lessons have been taught in the school's main hall and drama studio.

The report continued: "The accommodation is urgently required to complete the temporary replacement of 28 general and specialist classrooms lost through the closure of jubilee block in December 2018.

"The accommodation will complement the first phase of accommodation installed in January following an emergency procurement exercise in December 2018."

Sandwell Council will make a decision on the plans at its upcoming cabinet meeting on Wednesday (17).
