Heath Park Academy revamp to enter latest stage as plans submitted

Plans have been submitted for the third stage of a multi-million pound revamp of a Wolverhampton school.

Heath Park Academy, in Prestwood Road, Heath Town, is being refurbished under the £270million Building Schools for the Future scheme.

Last year the main school building was completed.

It was followed by the sports centre this month.

Now plans have been lodged with Wolverhampton council to building an arts block.

It would feature three art rooms, a cafe, staff offices and toilets.

In a planning documents that have been submitted with the application, it said: "Heath Park Academy seek to further their impressive campus with this new dedicated Post-16 Arts Block, utilising a quality design, on an unused area of the site."

A decision on the planning application will be made in the coming weeks by the council.
