Man who defrauded taxpayers of thousands by illegally subletting a Dudley property faces paying 'substantial' compensation to council
A man who illegally sublet a Dudley Council property and raked in thousands in rental income faces paying a substantial charge.
Audric Kanyinda, who owned six other properties, falsified documentation to get a council house in Osprey Drive, Russells Hall, which he rented out for more than four years until the fraud came to light.
At one point, he was taking in £7k a month from all his rentals.
A hearing at Wolverhampton Crown Court in August this year, heard how the 32-year-old's fraud cost Dudley Council around £165,500.
