Young woman sexually assaulted in Kidderminster

A woman was sexually assaulted in Wyre Forest and police are appealing for witnesses.

The young woman was walking in the Broom Crescent and Doverdale Avenue area of Kidderminster when a group of men assaulted her.

The incident took place at around 6.30pm on Monday, May 3.

West Mercia Police officers say they would particularly like to identify and speak to a family that the victim spoke to after she was attacked.

A spokesman for the force said: "We are appealing for any witnesses to a sexual assault on Bank Holiday Monday, May 3, in Kidderminster.

"Around 6.30pm a young woman was walking in the Broom Crescent and Doverdale Avenue area of Kidderminster when a group of men assaulted her.

"We would especially to like to identify a family that the victim spoke to at their home in the same area following the incident who offered her support."
