Officers from Brierley Hill Police Station saw the van parked up in Netherton and said the driver walked away.

A spokesman for Brierley Hill C team said: "We stopped him and he provided his details. We were not convinced and arranged for a fingerprint device to be brought to us.

"We warned the driver that if we could not confirm his details then he would be arrested.

"The driver then provided his true name and it transpired that he did not hold a driving licence."

The van has since been seized under the road traffic act and driver reported to court.
