Dog walkers visiting Tettenhall Pool have raised concerns on social media, urging owners to be 'vigilant'.

One resident posted: "Dog owner friends in Tettenhall area, word says that someone has decided to put rat poison down all over the fields by the pool and by the training ground. Be vigilant."

West Midlands Police has been alerted to the alleged incident, however police have confirmed no offences of this nature had been reported.

PCSO Helen Denyer, said: "I have received a few emails recently from concerned dog walkers about incidents of dog poisoning around Tettenhall Pool and surrounding fields

"I have also noticed posts on Facebook pages where people are saying that the Police have been informed and that local vets have also reported it to the Police.

"I can confirm that up to this date we have not received any incidents of dog poisoning around the Tettenhall Regis and Tettenhall Wightwick areas.

"If anybody has any information that would help to find out if these reports are genuine could you please report this on 101 so it can be recorded and investigated."
