Man charged after firearm and ammunition found at Birmingham property

A man has been charged after a handgun and ammunition were found at an address in Birmingham by police.

Officers carried out a warrant at a property on Brantley Road, Perry Barr, at around 4am on Friday morning.

Neon Stewart was arrested and has been charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition, the force said.

The 29-year-old, of Brantley Road, has been remanded in custody and was appearing at Birmingham Magistrates Court today.
