The earrings were found by police near Sandwell Valley Country Park, in West Bromwich, on March 19.

West Midlands Police officers were investigating reports of burglaries in the Kiniths Way area in the early hours when they found the earrings.

A 16-year-old boy has since been charged with aggravated burglary and possession of a bladed article. He has been remanded in custody.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We continue to try to trace others believed to have been involved.

"So far, we have been unable to trace the owner of these earrings which we believe may have been taken during a burglary which wasn't reported."

Anyone who recognises the earrings, or has information about the burglaries in the Kiniths Way area, can call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting incident number 20SW/77764G/21.
