Burntwood men in court for drugs and driving offences

Two Burntwood men have been charged with drugs and driving offences.

Andre Rooney and James Taylor were both stopped by officers from Staffordshire Police.

Rooney, 52, of Ironstone Road, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with his licence, driving a motor vehicle without valid insurance, and two charges of possessing with intent to supply a Class A drug – for heroin and crack cocaine.

While Taylor, 40, of Queens Drive, was charged with being concerned in the supply of heroin and being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine.

Both men appeared at court on Saturday, February 13, where Taylor entered no plea and was remanded in custody for trial at a later date.

Rooney also entered no plea at the hearing and was given bail with conditions until his next court appearance on March 19.
