Pair from separate homes fined after found together in car at nature reserve

Two people from separate houses have been fined for travelling to a nature reserve in the same car.

Officers gave the pair fixed penalty notices at Habberley Valley Nature Reserve after the driver admitted coming from Worcester to pick the passenger up from Kidderminster.

Wyre Forest Police posted on Facebook saying: "Two people, from separate households, who were found in a car together at Habberley Valley Nature Reserve, have been given fixed penalty notices, after the driver admitted coming from Worcester to pick the other up from Kidderminster, with no reasonable excuse and whilst knowingly going against Covid-19 restrictions.

"We understand that lockdown is tough on us all, but these measures are to stop the virus spreading and to save lives. Please follow the rules."
