Man seriously injured in stabbing at Birmingham park
A man has been left seriously injured after being stabbed in a park.
The victim, believed to be in his 20s, was injured in Summerfield Park, Dudley Road, in Winson Green, Birmingham.
The incident took place at around 2.30pm today.
The victims being taken to hospital for further treatment.
Police said they had received reports of gunshots being heard but said it was “unclear” whether the man had been shot.
A spokesman for West Midlands said: “Detectives are investigating and a scene is being held so a forensic examination can be carried out.
“A man has been seriously injured in an appalling act of violence in broad daylight, and we need to establish what happened and who was responsible.”
