Daniel Lawley pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Tuesday.

It followed an incident where a man in his 30s suffered a head injury at the store, located at Longacres Industrial Estate, on October 11 and was taken to hospital.

Lawley, of Allerton Lane, in West Bromwich, did not enter a plea in relation to an offence of grievous bodily harm with intent, which is he also charged with.

Lawley was remanded into custody ahead of a court appearance on February 12 where he will be sentenced.
