West Bromwich man arrested over drugs offences
A man was arrested over drugs offences after his van was stopped by officers.
The 43-year-old, from West Bromwich, had his white Mercedes van stopped on Mercian Way, in Tamworth, at about 8.35pm on Thursday , and the driver was swiped and tested positive for cocaine.
Police said he was found with cash and two mobile phones and was arrested for being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled drug. A search of his home address then uncovered scales, cash and cannabis.
He has since been released under investigation.
