More than 90 drivers caught speeding in a day in Staffordshire – and 15 clocked at 100mph

More than 90 drivers have been caught speeding in a day of police action in Staffordshire.

Officers caught 92 drivers speeding by using camera vans, and 15 of these were travelling at around 100mph.

There were also two drivers reported for red light offences, three for driving while using a mobile and one for driving without a seatbelt.

Staffs Police Road Policing Unit tweeted saying: "Positive day supporting The Staffordshire Safer Roads Partnership in the Staffordshire Police area.

"92 speeding through the camera vans. 15 reported by us for speeds around 100mph. 2 x red lights. 3x mobile phones. 1x seatbelt. Road safety advice to several others."
