The car eventually stopped at the back of the Albion pub on Albion Street, Rugeley. All three males in the car were searched and a small amount of cocaine and cannabis were found in the vehicle.

Police said the driver, 31, from Cannock, was also found to be in possession of cash. When police later searched his home, they found cocaine and more cash.

A second man, 29, from Rugeley, had cash and two mobile phones. A search of his home uncovered cocaine, scales and a large number of empty, un-used resealable bags.

All three were arrested for allegedly being concerned in the supply of cocaine and the driver also for having no insurance.

Investigations are continuing.
