Officers said suspicious individuals have been going around the area saying they are from the water board and asking to get inside the property.

PCSO Liam Greatrex from St Matthews neighbourhood team said: "We are aware of some suspicious individuals going around the Caldmore area knocking on doors of residents stating they are from the water board company and requesting to have access to the property.

"However when challenged about identification they cannot provide that they are who they say they are.

"If anyone in your area looks suspicious please do not hesitate to ask for identification as it's coming up to the winter and these kind of individuals will be out to look for easy ways to commit crime."
