Man, 19, seriously injured in Birmingham stabbing

A 19-year-old man suffered serious injuries when he was stabbed in Birmingham.

The teenager was stabbed in Witton, on Tuesday afternoon, at around 2.15pm.

He was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are not life-threatening, a West Midlands Police spokesman said.

Detectives are reviewing local CCTV and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, or may have information or dash cam footage to contact officers.

Detective Chief Inspector John Askew, from Force CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, this stabbing occurred in the middle of the afternoon in a busy road so please come forward if you have any information that would help our investigation."
