Drugs were seized and drivers acting in an anti-social manner were investigated in separate incidents in Penkridge and Perton.

The first incident saw officers on patrol in Penkridge as part of Op Cable, an operation which sees patrols of anti-social behaviour hotbeds.

The officers carried out an intelligence-led stop and search of a vehicle and the occupants, a search which resulted in the discovery of an amount of cannabis being discovered.

South Staffordshire Police confirmed on Twitter that the cannabis was subsequently seized and enquiries are still on-going.

Officers were also called to Perton to follow up on the concerns of residents of vehicles being driven in an anti-social manner and exceeding the speed limit.

South Staffordshire Police have confirmed on Twitter that they will be patrolling the area, as well as carrying out speed enforcement, as part of Op Lightning.
