Staffordshire Police officer to appear in court charged with child sex offences
A serving Staffordshire Police officer has been charged with attempted sexual communication with a child and making indecent images of a child.
PC Lee Tatton, aged 54, is due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Monday, August 3.
Tatton was arrested on December 10, 2019, by the force's Operation Safenet team.
Staffordshire Police say he has been suspended from duty while the investigation is ongoing.
Tatton was based in the force's Northern Resolution Centre.
