Halesowen delivery driver in 'terrifying' knifepoint carjacking

A delivery driver was attacked at knifepoint in a terrifying carjacking in Halesowen.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was knocked to the ground and threatened with the blade for his car keys in Summit Gardens, on Monday night.

The robbers then fled the scene in his vehicle, a Toyota Corolla.

West Midlands Police say the man suffered minor injuries but that it was a "terrifying ordeal" for the man.

The car has since been recovered and will undergo forensic tests.

A spokesman for the force said: "We are investigating after a delivery driver was carjacked at knife point in Summit Gardens, Halesowen, around 11.30pm on Monday.

"He was approached by three men who demanded the keys to his Toyota Corolla.

"The man in his 30s was knocked to the floor and threatened with the knife before the robbers made off with the vehicle.

"The delivery driver suffered only minor injuries but this was a terrifying ordeal for him.

"His mobile phone was taken but the car has since been recovered and will undergo forensic tests to help us establish who the robbers were."
