Women injured in 'racist attack' in the Black Country

Two women were injured in an attack in the Black Country which police are treating as racially motivated.

The women, aged 52 and 22, were attacked in Gorsty Avenue in Brierley Hill at around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

West Midlands Police are treating the incident as a hate crime and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A spokesman for the force said: "We are investigating reports of a disorder on Gorsty Avenue, Brierley Hill at 6.30pm on Wednesday, June 24.

"Two women aged 52 and 22, suffered minor injuries during the assault which is believed to be racially motivated and is being treated as a hate crime.
