Nathan Maynard-Ellis, aged 29, of Mission Drive, Dudley Port, Tipton, and 24-year-old David Leesley, of Dereton Close, Russells Hall, Dudley, both deny the murder of 42-year-old Julia Rawson on May 12, 2019.

Her remains were discovered near an industrial estate in Tipton on June 12, 2019. Ms Rawson, from Green Park Road in Kates Hill, Dudley, had been missing for a month. She was last seen on May 12, 2019.

Maynard-Ellis also denies dismembering her corpse and burying her body parts between May 19 and May 25, 2019.

Both defendants appeared in the dock at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday where they were remanded into custody.

They will appear before Birmingham Crown Court for trial on October 6.
