Shane Mayer, from Wolverhampton, was stabbed in the leg during a fight on Forge Road, Darlaston, on July 24, 2019, and died from his injuries in hospital three days later.

Ramani Sanderson was arrested two days after the killing but later released without charge.

The 19-year-old was arrested again from his current address in Walsham Road near Peckham, London, at 4am this morning and has now been charged with murder.

He is set to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court this afternoon.

Three other men remain on police bail.

The 21-year-old's family have previously spoken of their devastation at his loss.

Mr Mayer's inquest heard he managed to run a short distance before collapsing and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, where he died.

The cause of death was given as a stab wound to the groin.

The inquest, at Oldbury, was adjourned to allow police time to make further inquiries.
