Thieves steal thousands of pounds worth of bikes from Staffordshire

Ten bikes worth thousands of pounds have been stolen from a specialist shop in Staffordshire.

The thieves smashed the front of Run and Ride, in the Green, Milford, on the edge of Cannock Chase, at around 2am on Monday.

They then stole ten bikes from inside before making off in a white van, described as a Mercedes Sprinter, with a roller shutter rear door and number plate at the top.

The van fled the scene in the director of Wolseley Bridge, near Rugeley.

Staffordshire Police is now appealing for witnesses to the incident or anyone with information to contact them.

A spokesman for the force said: "The bikes taken were a Scott E-Genius 920 (L), Scott Spark 920 (M), Scott Genius 950 (L) Merida e-one forty 4000 (XL), Scott Spark 900 RC WC (L), Whyte E-150 S (L), Focus Sam 2 (2018), Giant, Carrera and a further Giant."

Anyone with information should call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 61 of June 1.
