Homes in Turnley Road, Sparkbrook and Phipson Road, Sparkhill, were searched on Thursday after West Mercia Police arrested two men on suspicion of dealing Class A drugs in Worcester on Wednesday afternoon.

Drugs and cash were found in the Birmingham homes and a 32-year-old man who was inside the Turnley Road house was arrested.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "A large quantity of drugs was found along with thousands of pounds in cash. The money has been seized because officers suspect the money has been generated by drug dealing and organised crime.

"A quantity of cannabis was found inside the Turnley Road address and a 32-year-old man who was inside the property at the time was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

"We’re working closely with West Mercia Police as the investigation continues.

"Information from the public is crucial in our fight against drug dealing and associated crime.

"We would urge anyone who has suspicions about drug dealing to contact us via Live Chat at our website www.west-midlands.police.uk or anonymously through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Tell them what you know, not who you are."
