Donna Selvey was in Oldbury custody block on March 29 as she was wanted for breaching a previous court order, when she became verbally abusive to officers and complained of back pain.

A response officer was speaking to Selvey through the hatch to arrange a nurse visit, when she spat in the Pc's face and shouted “drop dead of coronavirus”.

The 33-year-old was further arrested and charged with assaulting an officer.

At Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on May 13, Selvey, from the Sparkhill area of Birmingham, was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison.
