Officers found the items after raiding a house in Norton Crescent, Bordersley Green, at 6am on Tuesday.

Mohammed Sajad was arrested at the house on suspicion of possession of illegal firearms – a .38 Smith and Wesson revolver, two semi-automatic pistols and ammunition.

The 39-year-old was due to appear in Birmingham Magistrates Court today.

He is also accused of possessing cocaine with intent to supply and two counts of child neglect, with investigations continuing.

A 31-year-old woman who was also arrested at the address has been bailed as enquiries continue.

It came as part of a drive by the Bordesley Green Neighbourhood Team alongside Force CID to crack down suspected illegal activity.
