Pelsall Cricket Club was targeted between 6pm on Sunday and 6am on Monday.

George Minton, a committee member for the club, said: "They've sawed off the chains and locks to get in. It must have taken a considerable amount of time and a lot of noise.

"Then they broke into one of our garages and stole a ride-on lawn mower which we use for cutting our grounds.

"It's the only one we've got, I don't know what the value is but it's very very expensive, probably between £15,000 and £20,000.

"We've kept maintaining the grounds as best we can.

"It is a terrible shame, I was really taken aback."
