Masked machete robbers raid Wolverhampton Lidl

Masked men armed with machetes raided a Lidl supermarket in Wolverhampton.

Lidl on Finchfield Road West

The raid happened at the Lidl on Finchfield Hill just before 8.30pm on Saturday after the store had closed.

Three people forced their way in armed with knives, West Midlands Police said.

The robbers threatened staff before making off with what police described as "a quantity of cash".

No one was injured during the robbery.

No arrest have been made and the police investigation i ongoing.
