Women arrested for burglary after getting caught in homeowner's bedroom

Two women have been arrested after homeowners in the West Midlands found them in the bedroom of their house.

The homeowners found two unknown women in the bedroom of their property in Birmingham

Police were called to Stratford Road, in the Sparkhill area of Birmingham, on Thursday evening, after the occupants discovered two unknown women in their property.

The pair were disturbed by the homeowners and ran off down Stratford Road.

Officers tracked down the two women nearby – that matched the descriptions given by the victims.

The two women, aged 18 and 38 years old, were arrested on suspicion of burglary. The 38-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of theft, in relation to another incident.

Both women remained in police custody on Friday evening.
