Man charged with double murder of wife and neighbour

A Birmingham man has been charged with the double murder of his wife and a neighbour.

Tamer Moustafa appeared at Birmingham Magistrates' Court today after he was charged with both murders.

Moustafa, from Belle Walk, in Moseley, is accused of killing his 43-year-old wife Nelly Moustafa at their home address, and their 52-year-old neighbour Zahida Bi.

Post-mortem examinations are being carried today.

Moustafa, 40, has been remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday.

A police cordon remains in place at both properties in Moseley.
