Woman stabbed in neck as gang of men raid Stourbridge home

A woman was stabbed in the neck when a gang of men broke into her Stourbridge home.

Police were called to an address on Murcroft Road just after 3am yesterday.

A 50-year-old woman had been stabbed in the neck, after a group of men broke into the house.

She was taken to hospital with a stab wound to her neck, though her injury is only minor.

A 40-year-old man was also assaulted.

The offenders made off with a quantity of cash and damaged property within the house.

A spokesman from West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a woman was stabbed during a burglary in Stourbridge on Saturday morning.

"The man and woman are now being safeguarded after the group managed to make off with a small quantity of cash and deliberately damaged property in the house.

"Enquiries continue to trace the offenders and anyone with information is urged to contact us."
