Mr Jenks died at the scene of a crash in Coleshill Road, Atherstone, at night on March 25.

He was in the back of a Seat Ibiza which crashed near to Atherstone Golf Club.

The car ended up in a ditch.

Wagstaff, 21, of Sutton Coldfield, and another woman who was a front-seat passenger, were also injured in the crash.

A second charge of causing death by careless driving was added to the indictment.

Wagstaff also pleaded not guilty to causing Mr Jenks’s death by careless driving.

The case was adjourned for trial, which is expected to take place in late July, and Wagstaff was granted bail.
