Four men arrested after police find cannabis factory at Halesowen industrial estate

Four men have been arrested after police discovered a cannabis factory at a Halesowen industrial estate.

Officers from Brierley Hill police station arrested the men on suspicion of cultivating cannabis after they found a large number of plants inside a factory unit.

The officers had responded to reports of suspicious activity at the industrial estate.

PC Jamie Fellows said: "We located a factory unit which was locked and secure with a strong smell of cannabis coming from within.

"We could hear persons inside and several members of the team made their way to the unit covering the front and rear. As we were preparing to force entry the occupants opened the door and were detained.

"Inside we found a large number of cannabis plants as well as a large number that had already been harvested.

"We have arrested four men on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and they remain in custody as we continue to investigate."
