Teen arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after man loses sight in one eye during Great Barr stabbing

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a man was blinded in one eye during a stabbing outside a Great Barr pub.

An 18-year-old man was arrested and has since been bailed in connection with the incident outside The Beeches pub, Thornbridge Avenue, Great Barr, on December 14.

Police still want to speak to a man in connection with the incident and released an image in an appeal.

Birmingham Police tweeted saying: "We need to speak to him after a man lost the sight in one eye in a stabbing outside The Beeches pub, Thornbridge Avenue, Great Barr, just before 1am on 14 December.

"Thanks to an earlier appeal, an 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and bailed.

"If you have any information please contact us, quoting crime reference 20BW/294629V/19, via Live Chat at west-midlands.police.uk between 8am and midnight, or call 101 anytime.
