Organised cannabis farm found by police at Walsall house

Police discovered a substantial cannabis factory at a house in Walsall after being tipped off by the public.

One man was arrested as dozens of plants were found growing and drying at a home in the St Matthews area today.

Photos from inside the house in Grove Terrace showed rows of plants in pots under artificial grow lights near where mature plants were drying on the wall.

Ventilation ducts, thermometers, fans and power boards had also been installed.

West Midlands Police confirmed the cannabis factory was in "a number of rooms" and that a man had been taken into custody.

In a neighbourhood alert, local PCSO Aaron Bahia said: "This is a fantastic result and has taken drugs off the streets of Walsall.

"If you have any information on any places where you think there may be a cannabis factory then please get in touch with us so that we can track them down.
