Hunt for thief who stole jewellery in Walsall house raid

Police are searching for a burglar who stole jewellery during a house raid in Walsall.

The thief smashed a window to gain entry to the property in Martin Road, in the Parkhall area, on January 8.

The raid is believed to have taken place between 1.30pm and 9.50pm, while the homeowner was out.

A window in the downstairs toilet was smashed, before the offender searched the property.

A quantity of jewellery was taken from inside, before the thief fled through the back door.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "On Wednesday, January 8, we had a property broken into in Martin Road, Parkhall. The resident left the house at approximately 1.30pm and returned at 9.50pm, the burglary took place between this timeline.

"Offender/s gained access to the rear of the property and smashed the window to the downstairs toilet.

"Entry was gained and a search of the downstairs and bedrooms was made. A quantity of jewellery was taken, the offenders left the property via the back door."

Anyone with information is asked to call West Midlands Police on 101, quoting incident number 20WS/8213G/20.
