West Midlands Police recovered 147 plants after executing a drugs warrant at a property on Lechdale Road, Great Barr.

Officers arrested a 22-year-old man who has since been charged with cultivating cannabis.

The raid, which took place at 7.45am on January 2, uncovered rows of cannabis plants which were lined up under artificial lights.

Wires and ventilation systems were pictured inside rooms as part of the factory set-up.

West Bromwich Police tweeted to say officers "executed a drugs warrant at Lechlade Road Great Barr."

"147 cannabis plants seized in total," they continued. "A male was arrested and has been subsequently charged with the production of cannabis! Suspect it? Report it! We'll do the rest!"
