'Another weapon off the streets': Police find 2ft machete in bushes
A 2ft machete was found stashed in bushes at a Black Country park by police.
The huge knife will now be destroyed after it was discovered hidden away in a park in Wednesfield.
Wednesfield Police tweeted: "Another dangerous weapon taken off the streets."
It comes as knife crime reached an all-time high in the West Midlands this year.
In a 12-month-period, police recorded 3,428 offences involving knives or sharp instruments.
West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner David Jamieson said the shocking figures should be a wake up for the government to increase police funding.
