Tipton Town Police shared an image of an officer with two large clear bags of the drugs.

Police received reports of cannabis being loaded into a van in Rose Close on October 3 and found it unattended with the drugs inside.

They also seized a VW Polo and searched it today and found £20,000 worth of cannabis in the boot.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "Police received information just after midnight on the morning of October 3 that a group of men were loading cannabis into a van in Rose Close, Smethwick.

"Officers found the van unattended a short time later in the street and discovered drugs inside.

"Another vehicle, a VW Polo, was also seized and taken to a vehicle recovery yard. That car was searched today and more cannabis was found in the boot."

Meanwhile, a driver was arrested after being found with cannabis in the back of a car on the M54 overnight.

The tweet from CMPG said: "The driver of this car decided he didn’t want to hang around and talk to us when we asked him to stop on the M54.

"One under arrest after they made a ‘hash’ of getting away. What a fab night - between us 14 arrests 13 seized cars three recovered stolen cars £1,000s of property."
