Police tracing woman after elderly couple assaulted outside Asda

An elderly couple were assaulted and left on the floor outside an Asda supermarket.

The attack happened at the store, in Wolverhampton Road, Oldbury, close to M5 J2.

Police have issued an image of a woman officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

The husband and wife needed hospital treatment, a force spokesman confirmed.

It happened at around 10.30am on September 16.

Sandwell Police tweeted: "We want to speak to this woman about an assault that left an elderly driver and his wife on the ground at Asda car park, Oldbury on Monday 16 September at 10.30am.

"Both needed hospital treatment."

Anyone with information is asked to call police, quoting crime reference number 20SW/219828Z/19.
