Wolverhampton car firm brothers await trial over fraudulent trading claims

Two brothers who have denied fraudulent trading at a Wolverhampton garage face a nine-month wait for a trial.

Jaspal Virdee pleaded not guilty to two charges

Prithpal and Jaspal Virdee, aged 41 and 25, are due to face trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court on June 15 next year.

The brothers work at Engine Reconditioning, in Sunbeam Street, Wolverhampton.

They appeared before Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 26 and their next appearance is on November 29 for a pre-trial hearing.

At an earlier court hearing, it was heard that customers of the garage have complained of being overcharged for repairs and conned out of money.

Prithpal Virdee, of Finchfield Gardens, Wolverhampton, denies 17 charges while Jaspal Virdee, of Richmond Road, Wolverhampton, denies two charges.

The dates of the alleged offences range from 2013 to 2017.
